It was $855 at Best Buy last week, in stock at nearly every one in my state. Added the 12% RZ coupon and got it for $752 out the door.

Yeah, there are more stores than Amazon. I prefer beach. Their free shipping is always really quick and their CS is great.

It's not really a crap lens. This is probably explainable by simple stock issues. Most people probably have been buying the body only, or there were fewer initially produced.
