This is supposedly the world's smallest APS camera. Regular price $79.99. The gold colored model only is reduced to $19.99 at Target stores. Some stores have the clearance price marked, others show the regular price; but get them to scan the camera and, hey, it comes up at $19.99. I just brought one home after trying 2 stores. Dont you just love it when they say the price is 'as marked' and you ask them to just double-check

This model has no zoom, but it seems to have everything else including Auto-focus; you can check out the spec here

Go find one quick ...

Believe me, I've been scanning Target's camera displays for weeks now. No other real deals about. However, you may be very very lucky and still find a Target with the Nikon Nuvis 200 ultra-compact zoom on clearance from $119.99 to 22.48 ! I picked up 3 of these about 3 weeks ago... I did'nt bother posting 'cos I noticed they were disappearing very quickly.

I know there is still at least 1 of the Canon's left at Park Rd/Preston Rd in Plano, TX if anyone is nearby.

good luck !

Wow, I can check this out too while I'm trying to pricematch the WD 45 gig drive at CompUSA, all in the same area! What a great time to have deals, being at home for fall break!

Is this nation wide? Has anyone else been able to get the camera for this price? My friend went to try to get one of these cameras, and they came out at the register at regular price..

I called my local Targets, and they said that this clearence only applied to the brown/gold in color Canon Elph LT's. The others rang up as $79.99 and they had "quite a few in stock".

My local Target store in Springfield/Union, NJ had the brown/gold Elph LT come up as $79.99 (regular price) when scanned. I felt kind of stupid trying to find it for $19.99 when it wasn't at this location.

Anyone plan on picking up one of these for $19.99 and mind getting an extra? I can paypal money + shipping if anyone is willing to. Thanks.

APS cameras have one major drawback...they're 24mm....less film per picture = less resolution.

Also, couldn't find the camera on the target.com website....discontinued?

My Two Cents...

Normal price in St. Louis. But lady said they are getting whole bunch of new
cameras soon, so I'll hold onto the one I bought in case this region cuts price next week--
otherwise I return it. That region thing happened w/OD and the $60 128 ram: ran here 1 or 2 weeks later than other regions.

I'm in Houston and just picked up one. I had to go to 3 different locations to find one. These suckers are sold out everywhere.

I thought analog film had an infinite resolution?
it depends on the lens of the camera.

target is usually lazy about updating there pricing database.
so, the prices come up differant at differant stores.
had the same problem with the 149 panasonic 5 disc tray dvd player.

film does not have infinite resolution. You can consider the film grain as analogous to pixels.

Hey unxpurg8d, you did VERY well to pick up those Nikons after all this time! Are'nt they little beauts ? I managed to find a good small-size bag for one of them at Wolf Camera yesterday. Selling them at half-price; it's an Ambico mini-camera bag for $4.99. Fits the Nikon nicely

Thanks for the tip on the camera bag - I'll go check today. They're really nice-looking little cameras, thanks again! Have you used yours yet? I was disappointed in the Kodak APS I bought, the panoramic pics turned out all fuzzy.

If you've never seen panoramic pictures before from any other camera other than your Kodak, you'll think the pictures were of low quality.

The problem is not with your Kodak APS camera, but with the way they produce panoramics. Any panoramic picture from any camera (regardless of brand) will look fuzzy because a panoramic is really just an enlargement of a small strip from the middle of the film. They cut off the top and bottom of a regular 4x6 print and enlarge it to a panoramic size print.

One of the previous posts mentioned that film resolution is affected by the grain of the film. It's basically the same idea as viewing a bitmap on your computer at 2x or 3x. It becomes pixelated, or in the case of conventional film, grainy...

Point is, don't expect panoramics to come out any better in your new camera than in your old one. I have a Minolta Vectis S-100 and it's a pretty decent APS SLR camera, but the panoramics are still grainy.

Anyone know if the other colors for the Canon Elph will go on sale?

Why is only the Gold one on sale?

hey, Thanks for the posting!! Went to Target and while they were out of the Elph's....they had one of the Nikon Nuvis 200's left...for the clearance price of $89. The fellow was real nice and even provided a battery to make sure it worked...said he would throw it in for free. I asked him to please scan the box to make sure it was'nt further discounted and sure enough....$22.44 Scanned it again, and got the same amount... He smiled and said he'd honor the price... picked up a 3 pack of the Advantix film and walked out with a new camera (that I can actually use on trips when I don't want to bring my Pro 35mm), new battery, and film...all for $33.85.... gosh this board is great!! Again, thanks....sure was a hot tip for me!
