I bought the Nuvis 200 today at Target St. Louis. It rang up at $22.44, but it says it's a 24-48 zoom (35mm equivalent is 30-60mm). Is that good??

Is the "samsung 35mm 35-80mm zoom maxima zoom 80 GL" better??

the Canon ELPH LT isn't really that great of a deal compared to the zoom cameras that are only $2 more, the ELPH looks like a tiny cheap toy camera, if i were you guys i'd get one of the zoom cameras, just my opinion

because it's not the Nuvis S on sale, it's the Nuvis 200, they're very different cameras.

Thanks Pennstate... I just picked up 3 of those Samsungs you mentioned. They didn't have any out on display, but the young laddie was kind enough to check under the cabinet and there they were! 'er indoors is going to kill me when she discovers I've bought more camera's - make excellent xmas or b'day gifts though, dont they

You guy's should get moving quick to your local Target to pick one of these up - as said by Pennstate, the model is the Samsung Maxima 80 GL zoom and for $22 it's a deal!

The Target in LaGrange, IL had the Elph LT in stock, but after I bought ONLY ONE, the two &quot;Target Team Members&quot; that were working there nabbed the other two that were left. So, that store's out...

... also, this store didn't have the CLEARANCE price posted on display. Display just said, &quot;79.99, was 89.99&quot; but I asked them to ring it up and see what'll come up because I had &quot;friends&quot; who went to Target and theirs' rang up as 19.99. And BOOYA!

I called all 10 stores in the St. Louis phone book, not one store had that camera in stock.

I picked up a Nikon Nuvis 200 APS last monday and just realized I'd rather have that Samsung since it's a 35mm (it is a 35mm, right? doesn't use the APS film, correct?)

dude, i'm in memphis. little rock has the same deal i bet(according to a target mgr, we're all in the same area), that means cape giradeau is in this too--got any relatives there?. got the samsung 80 for the $22(thx) and a nuvia 200 for $15(display model). target team girls freaked out when i went up front to scan it(came up in scanners as just blank clearance so i had to go to cust serv) and threatened to get the rest in the city...they definitely(they begged me not to get it) are getting the other one of the two that were there. will try though. maybe coming to st.l (used to live in pine lawn--represent!) later this week if i don't get my ticket to tokyo snail mail.
incidentally, stores hit--hickory hill, colonial, and germantown
heads up to anyone who's following the thread--sonic shaving-3 (model #ES7006N)is 25.64 down from the $69.99. may be better than my two old norelcos.
also look out for the mitsubishi dvd player--it was on the clearance endcap, but the silly elec. clerks talking about only 30% off the display with no books or nothin. i wish THEY had asked me to leave the camera...

Edited to give a shoutout to Pennstate. I was lucky enough to get the display model of the Samsung Maxima just a while ago at my local Target. The salesdude was shocked and appalled when it scanned at $15.03 (22.44- 33%); he looked like he was going to cry. I nearly burst out laughing! God, that made my day. P.M. me your address, Pennstate, and I'll send you a little present by way of thanks.

That's one way of looking at it; but for every ONE hot deal WE manage to get, you can bet your sweet patootie that those &quot;poor minimum-wage souls&quot; have screwed fifty regular customers out of theirs by hoarding all the goodies in the back for themselves. I can't really blame them, though; that's one of the perks of working a job like that. But that doesn't mean I won't gloat a little when I sneak one under their noses... I'm going to check the other Targets in my area tomorrow and if I find any more, I'll offer them to the posters over here, not a Target employee. Let them find their own deals!

the point is moot in this case tho, cause i got the last two boxed samsungs and a boxed nuvis 200 at the store in cordova (they put that psonic 5 disc out for sale on the clearance endcap--still $299 where some yokel will buy it--&quot;lookee ma! i gawt me a hawt deel!&quot; and won't sell the mitsubishi half price so i was good and phissed. but the girl who was handling the transactions and standing in the way of my dvd happiness was already hip to the price and didn't give a hoot--i almost didn't buy the last one cause it didn't have a box to try and make her mad--then changed my mind and i made her go get it again to emphasize--but then i saw that (da box) was what she was getting from under the counter. i was so crunk i didn't get separate reciepts--i thought swat teams was gonna come out tha ceiling--and i'd be on the news--&quot;irate bargain hunter goes berserk in target! story at ten&quot;. motto to dis story: karma is powerful, dood...
