I got my rebate on Monday. Long overdue!

need some help on this sucker...

just got my printer and noticed an extremely obnoxious paper loading sound that'd last like 15 seconds, even though there is paper loaded and while the spindle is spinning no paper is going through. after the 15 second delay THEN the paper goes through and the document is printed. I have no gripes about the printing quality for 25 dollars but the noise is very irritating. Is this only on my machine?

Just got mine tonight! Amazing plain paper output! Quieter than my (clog ridden) epson 40UX. I am impressed at its speed too! An excellent value for 24.99.

With that being said I am having a few issues with some banding.

As well as a really limiting aspect for me. Having used the Epson 780 with Borderless printing I am used to being able to print pics without borders on just about any size. I can usually print 4 nice prints on a full 8x10 (no white showing) But with the canon I can only use the built in 4x6 borderless printing, not on a 5x7 or custom sized piece.... This is pretty disapppointing. Is there any way to add additional paper sizes for borderless printing in a size other than just 4x6?

Has anyone noticed that VIVID PHOTO and NOISE REMOVE seem to make there pictures better and not worse?

Well the printer is still there, just search for "i320", but the coupon might be dead now.....you'll have to sniff around.

I just tried the glossy 4x6 distributed from various vendors on Flebay under the moniker "Discount Paper". I got 100 for 6.99 and for the most part the output is anywhere from Acceptable to very disappointing depending on the subject matter. This paper seems especially poor at flesh reproduction, not sure why... Ultra Glossy my ass! The paper is very thin (even thinner than the CANON stuff -- Does this mean anything? Or is it all about the Finish??


I have gotten much better results from the 5 pack of CANON 4X6 Glossy sampler pack that was included with my printer when I got it. I have also gotten great results from the heavy LB Glossy Office Depot brand photo paper, but it sure does cost a bit (use a coupon if ya got em).

I am reallly disappointed because I was trying to get my per print cost down to .07 cents (not including ink)....

So for best output you can't go wrong with the manufacturer or the Office Depot paper.

Anyone know of any better stuff?

Many times at Office Depot you can't find the item by searching around the site. The way to do it is use the "order by #" button at the top. Enter the item number and quantity and it usually shows in your cart.

Got mine 2 days after ordering ,great printer for the price.
The only problem i have is that Office depot didn't send a receipt so how do I get my rebate?

There's a phone # to call and they'll fax or mail you a receipt. I don't remember the # right now, but try searching for "office depot receipt phone" or something like that and perhaps it'll come up.

You can try sending in just the e-mail receipt/order confirmation, but I'm always paranoid I'll get screwed on the rebate, so I call and have them mail me one.

Hey damnlimey this is the reply I got from Office Depot when I asked them about the receipt issue:

For a copy of an invoice/receipt, you would need to contact our corporate offices at 800.937.3600 ext. 87739. They should be able to assist you further. In addition, if this was ordered on the web you can login and click My Orders, and click on the order number and print out an invoice.

For the people asking about megatoners,I ordered from them on Friday and received my order today.
The carts look good and you can't beat the price,$2 for black and $2.75 for color
Closest I found anywhere else was around $8.

Does anyone know where to get good prices on 8 1/2 x 11 photo paper. The 4x6s they include with this printer print out great, but I'd like to see how they turn out in 8 1/2 x 11 without paying 50 cents a sheet.
