Canon i320 Printer $29.99 AR @ OD

Canon i320 Color Printer $79.99 at OfficeDepot.com, there is $30 rebate at Canon website, and 20 off 75 coupon is around. The printer appears to be decent one, 2400X1200 dpi, photo-lab quality 4" x 6" prints, USB 2.0 interface.

This printer is a photo printer, but, will it still be a good printer for all printing tasks?

Both of the coupons I've found say that they are invalid for Tech Depot purchases.. I'm referring to the two mentioned on that site which jumps on deals. If you've done this deal could you possibly PM me a working coupon? Not only am I in need of a new printer, but the Canon's seem to have much lower supply costs than other brands..

[edit : i meant to delete this but inadvertantly hit "reply" - i tried on a second computer and everything went through as described above - hence the "thanks" two posts down... here is one of the few reviews I found on for this very new printer.. (and i was concerned about the coupons saying they weren't good on tech depot purchases because "Tech Depot" is what Office Depot calls their computer and technology department..]

dangit, and i've been waiting for a printer deal for months
apparently its out of stock in all three of the zipcodes, i can pick it up.

is it just me or is officedepot's online system really really annoying?
it says in stock til you say you want to buy it, then it asks you to login, upon which time it says it isnt in stock, backorder?

URG... nothing pisses me off like that...

several sites on ebay has ink cartridges.....just go to printers supplies... ink jet cart....and do a search

Printer arrived today.. There was no shipping invoice or anything, so do I print out the email receipt and use that for the rebate?

RE: ink cartridges - it uses BCI-24 Black/Color - the same as the Canon S200 and S300 use. Black ink (made by Canon, not generic) is ~$8 most places. I happen to have outpost.com open in a window. Their prices are $7/black and $18/color.

A Matter of Fax had the lowest prices on PriceGrabber and a 4of5 stars rating - I've not shopped there and haven't heard anything about them though.

Point being, if you run out of ink and need to buy more at a retail store, it seems like your wallet won't be in for the squeeze that other printers deliver - to buy this printer new was less expensive than a new set of cartridges for my Stylus Photo 750 (which most b&m stores no longer stock).

Megatoners has the BCI-24 K for $2.00 and the CMY for $2.75.

Use the phone, give them the coupon number and explain the problem with the order system.

I had to do that with the Sys 15" LCD Monitor.

I ordered the printer this afternoon and picked it up at OD. I was amazed by the print quality from the is printer. The print quality on the photo paper come with the printer is excellent. Very close to the real print. The print speed for a 4x6 is about a min or less which is really good. For $30 you can't ask for anything more. I highly recommended it now I had two printer at home I will use the Cannon mainly for photo printing.

I ordered it tonight. My local store was backordered so I gotta wait 3 days for the Big Brown Truck to come. This is gona be a X-mas present for my Brother. He ran out of ink for his Lexmark X23... sooo this is cheaper than the ink ;-)
