i use this printer.
works great.
i normally don't use it for heavy printing......and since i work for Xerox....u can imagine where most of my heavy printing gets done...
fax works great and so does the copier.
it even supports color fax (provided the receiving party has a color fax too) and works great with win2000.
bought this from bestbuy for $130 (after $50 MIR)
and picked up some real cheap cartridges from Sams' club (still haven't received the rebate after 4 mnths)

This is not a very good printer. Do yourself a favor and skip it. The Epson 777 for $49 is a much better deal. IMHO, of course.

This printer was a major pain in the arse. Cos you have to route all the phone line through it you may find (like I did) that you start missing calls, and you get a fax beeping on your answering machine. Do yourself a favor and set your pc up to send and receive faxes, or use a free service such as efax. The print quality was sub par - lots of banding and talk about s - l - o - w. Not sure what model's being offered here, but my C530 blows.

I just need info on the vendor... I have my setup all set but I want a standalone fax machine... this is gonna be sitting on my desk, not on my phone or anything anyway... HAS ANYONE BOUGHT FROM THIS VENDOR BEFORE?

Granted he has an older model and all, but my dad does nothing but gripe about his. It seems that it wants to take over the system and all printing regardless of any other printers. I would stay away and go with an HP All-in-One. I've worked with them and would recommend to anyone.
