I'm really gun-shy about the A75.

I loved my A70, right up until the time I got the "E18" error (that has killed many A70 cameras).

I'm really gun-shy about ANYTHING Canon, since their response to customers that got these defective cameras has been: "Up Yours, Customer!. Sucker!"

Any thoughts on whether the A75 will also soon give the E18 error!??

Can you fill me in on this E18 error... I have an A70, which has been working fine.
But I am thinking of upgrading it...

It looks like the E18 error is not just a problem with the A70. The Canon Digital Elph S110 also has the same problem. The problem may be in the entire Canon lineup.

I'm staying away from Canon. There are some nice Fuji models that I'll take a look at.

I have two canon Cameras, an A70 and a Vistura MiniDV. Both cameras have been to Canon service, the A70 has been there twice and is currently there. The warranty coverage has been good, but the need to send them in is disturbing. With all of the tech stuff that I have owned, these items are the only ones that requred warranty service. I have never had the "E18", but from my limited research, I see that it is quite widespread. I will steer clear of Canons for a while.
