$399-10%-$20=$339

Free shipping and no tax in most states.

I jumped on the S100 deal from Amazon, otherwise I would definitely get the S110 from Dell. I think it's kinda cheap, and it's from Dell!

DON'T BUY IT FROM DELL! I REPEAT, DON'T BUY IT FROM DELL! There's a good chance that you won't get it until 3 or 4 months later. If you want that camera, PM it at Staples instead. Use the $40 off $200 coupon, and it should come out to $320 + tax. Even if they refuse to PM the 10% off, it's well worth paying a few extra bucks if you gonna get the camera in 4 days instead of 4 months.

First, Staples does not PM with 10% off the Dell's $399.
Second, Staples will not count the $20 coupon off $399.
Third, many people have said Staples will not allow any more discount coupon applied when PM'ing.

It sounds like Dell's deal is still a better deal.

400-10%=360, 360-40=320. If you could get them to PM the coupon, that's gonna be $300 + tax. You might not be able to do it online (I have no idea what their new PM policy is, so I'll have to trust tazmania99 on this one,) but it should be fairly easy at a B&M store. I've never had a problem PMing Dell's %off sales Rochester Staples. But then again, it's worth a shot. It seems like whenever dell has a good deal on something, it takes them so long to ship the item that the price drops below what you paid for it by the time you get it. Remeber the Radeon?

PM with Staples is SUCK. Although I've done it successfully a couple times, it came with its pains. However, I've had very pleasant experiences with Dell. Most items i ordered from them came within 2 days. This is definitely a good deal.

Staples sucks. I bought one from Dell, OfficeMax and Staples last time. Dell was the first to arrive. Staples wouldnt' PM the proper price. So i returned it. Dell's order came in 3 days later. So I was happy. I might jump on this deal again. Can just go ebay it or something.

dp004i, you forgot the sales tax too if buying from Staples unless you are from Oregon.

The deal is so tempting......I should turn off my PC as soon as possible....

you could get this from ritzcamera.com for $400 - $80 msn passport rebate = $320 shipped. But then you have to wait until january for the $80. Maybe someone could get amex blue to pm it to dell's price, making it scorching hot (400 - 80 rebate - 60 amex pm = 260).

Regarding all of the complaints about Staples...

I do Staples deals several times every week, and it has been my experience that 1) I haven't had any problem with them pricematching to a Dell % off coupon, 2) I haven't seen ANY difference in the real world in their willingness to pricematch, despite the recent change in 'policy', and 3) I haven't seen ANY difference in the real world in their willingness to take a coupon even after pricematching...actually, I did notice one difference - they now ASK ME if I would LIKE to use a coupon after applying the pricematch...I used to have to ask them. LOL. My only gripe about Staples Direct is tax, but having a coupon on every order always makes up for it.

I do agree completely about Dell being the pits. Many orders take forever to be delivered; order confirmations may or may not show up (mine just showed up today, a week after placing my order for a Dell-branded monitor), it takes forever to get a semi-human being on the line, and when you do, the reps usually don't know anything that you don't already know. And heaven help you if you ever have a return, or a support issue that needs to be addressed...it's enough to make you tear your hair out...at least in my experience.

Let's see...Staples next-day delivery and outstanding customer service...or Dell, the company from Hell. Tough choice.

Well in response to the last time I tried to PM staples. They would not let me PM the $367 S110 deal. I wound up paying $390 or so for it so I told them I wanted to return it. They said that they could PM the $399 price but not the $367.

As for Staples next day delivery, yes that is a plus. But their tax is not. I don't want to have to pay tax if I don't have to pay tax with Dell. Also their price match policy clearly states that the coupons will be applied before PM. So I don't know what CSRs you talk to but it is now my experience as probably others as well that their PM policy sucks now.

>>>As for Staples next day delivery, yes that is a plus. But their tax is not. I don't want to have to pay tax if I don't have to pay tax with Dell.<<<

Well, I don't like paying tax any more than you do, but the fact is that Staples has a nationwide bricks & mortar presence and has to collect it for the states, whereas Dell is in Texas and at this point only collects tax on the 'service' portion of a sale.

I have my own staff of special CSRs that cater to my every whim. I tell them *my* version of the policy and they change it for me :Q LOL.

Seriously, I just call and get a different CSR each time and have not noticed any significant change in the way any of my orders have been treated. My local Staples store is another story...I think the new policy is that when you attempt to return unopened merchandise accompanied by a receipt, they try to throw you out of the store and call the Police...that's what happened to me Sunday (seriously). My Staples has a whacko manager that I've filed a complaint on.

What's your point? The deal is cheaper going through dell.

Well i just might have to try a PM to them I guess. Thinking about getting the Ipaq. But last time they really ticked me off. Could you PM me with a CSR you have used in the past that the coupon after PM worked on?

OK then, if it's cheaper for you through Dell, do that. It's cheaper for me through Staples.

I didn't take names...every CSR has always allowed me to use a coupon after a pricematch.

My only bad experince with Dell was the $8 dvd/cd-rw drive. Otherwise, they have shipped pretty well. My longest wait from 3-4 weeks on that $8 drive. I've bought 3 digital cameras (one returned without issue) a digi videocam, and a P1000 without problems.

Just thought I'd let those know who haven't dealt with dell yet.

That's nice. Now here's my experience with them. Ordered the $210 Radeon 8500, had to cancel the order after waiting for god knows how long. Same thing with the Hitachi DVD drive. Ditto for the Clie 710, got tired of waiting and got an Ipaq. Right now I'm having loads of fun trying to find out why those monkeys don't want to ship the speakers that they had in stock all along. The only thing they actually shipped to me was a 256 meg DIMM that didn't work. Wasted almost 3 hours trying to find amonkey that knew anything about accepting returns. Staples, on the other hand, has been pretty good to me so far. I got a bunch of good deals from them, including the $300 ($150 after MIR ipaq 3635, $160 Elph S100 and $140 Samsung 950p. Their online CSRs are just as bad as Dell's monkeys, but their most of their store managers are cool. Haven't placed any orders with them over the phone, so I can't comment on their phone CSRs.

Under $300 for the Coolpix 775? How do you figure? I've been hunting for good prices on this camera for a long time and I caved in at $336 shipped!

Just FYI.
I got my S110 last month with the 20% off deal....End up around $349 from DELL.
But it took a while for them to ship it...like 10 days or so.
I also RECEIVED THE FREE stuff from Canon for the BATTERY,FREE 16MB RAM and a BIG BAG last Week!
Am using this little camera almost everywhere I go!

I've had the opposite experience with Dell.

All my orders were fulfilled and shipped within a reasonable amount of time, including the Sony Clie PEG-S320.

Why does the Nikon 775 have to be so big, bulky and ugly compared to the Canon S110?

There is another option. Get the Canon S110 from Photoalley.com using MSN Passport to pay. The price is now $399.95. Get a cheap stuff like batteries or film to make the order over $400. Photoalley will give you $50 GC for any order over $400. Plus the $80 MSN award check, the net cost of the digicam will be $270 shipped free! Photoalley will also give you a Compact Binoculars as a free gift. No tax except CA, NJ, and PA.

I ordered a Kodak 4800 digicam from them before. Their service is pretty ok.

Edit: Just a reminder. The photoalley offer expires today. Also, don't forget the $100 Canon accessories rebate.

I checked my order status at DELL. I have a UPS tracking number for the Canon S110. I ordered Tuesday night. I got it for 339.10 I think. Around there. Good luck to the rest of you!

dell used ups on my computer order and the morons delivered it to the wrong address across town :<
if it wasn't for a manager @ that bldg tracking me down, it would have surely walked off (i didn't know it was in town even, because of their shoddy order tracking system that wouldn't give me any of my info or at least a tracking number!)
now, wolfcamera.com also has a special on this cam $399 with an accessory kit (nb1L and the like). in store b and m has it for $379.95
just thought i would throw that out there for anyone wanting more pm ammo...
i like my s10 fine--the laser sight is the bom
