Canon price history (s90/s95/s100)

The only thing holding me back from a S95 was the lack of GPS and 1080p video. So now I'm ready to pick up an S100. I definitely want it before Christmas and I'm hoping to get it for the best price possible, so I was trying to dig up price histories on the S95/S90 for comparison. The only tracker I found was bensbargains, which suggests that Newegg tends to put out a $50 coupon about 1 month after release. I figure someone here might have a better sense of potential pricing to expect for the S100. Ideas?

GPS on cameras seems to mostly suck. Have you read up on how well that features works and how terribly it kills the battery life? Get the s95 unless there's something else truly super awesome that will improve your pictures in the s100.

I just looked into it. The moderate reduction in battery life with GPS on doesn't bother me- I'd rather not deal with manually inputing EXIF metadata. I also like the increased optical zoom and 1080p video.

So does anyone have any anecdotal or price database on these particular cameras?

The price of the S95 was $399 right off the bat. It dropped to $350 in the best of "deals" in the coming weeks after its release. Since then its been pretty steady in between $350 and $400 with the occasional deal bringing it down to $350.

Keep in mind that with the added zoom comes a price...the lens is a bit slower at equivalent zoom settings besides the widest.

24 vs 28mm at the near end is nice too, I am considering this camera.

The two things that stopped me were video and to limited zoom.
