I just dropped Canon 24-70 f/2.8 lens. The mount ring is damaged (one edge of mount ring is bent enought that it won't mount into the camera) and I'm thinking that the lens alignment is probably off due to the impact.
I guess it's time to send the lens to the repair center. I bought the lens from B&H in U.S.A and I live in Canada thus the lens will have to go to the Canon repair center in Canada. Last time I heard, lenses bought from U.S.A will be treated as if it was bought in Canada due to Canon's North American Warrenty policy or am I right?
Anyway, because it was my fault, I'm sure that I'll be charged for a service fee.
What I'm wondering is how much it'll cost and how long it'd take for me to get it back.
BTW, I'm not only asking about Canadian services but also the U.S.A one as I think both service would be quite close to each other if not the same.
