Hi guys, is there a good case I can buy for this camera? Also I noticed that when taking pictures of things that are moving, there is a great deal of blur. Is this common with digital cameras or just this one? Plus any tips and tricks to using this camera?

Thanks

depending on the shutter settings, no matter what camera, if something is moving faster than the camera can catch, it'll blur.

but yeah, it tends to be more prevelant in digicams. Is there a fast shutter mode? there is one for the s10. but i never had too many problems with blur unless it was my own fault.

what are you trying to take pictures of?

I got a good case for this camera from onvia.com

And like lnguyen said, the blur is coming from the shutter spped being set too low. I'm not sure if you change change the speed of not on this camera. I use it mostly for stand-still shots.

It's the "aperture" setting which controls the amount of light/duration of capture. I believe that it is marked by a little icon that says "ISO" under the menu in the S100. I forget which way makes it faster, but try the lowest setting first. If that doesn't work, try the highest setting. There is also the "auto" option for when you have to take shots in repitition in slightly different lighting. In no time you'll become one with your camera's aperture, and you may not have to use the automatic setting Good luck

the lower the apeture number, the more light is let in, therefor in theory, a faster shutter can be used, and the opposite is true.

not too familiar with the s100, whether or not it has apeture/shutter priority or not (what PliotronX was explaining i do believe). Flip thru they manual (throw away that ego and just use it ) and see if there's anything about "fast shutter" mode or something like that. the s10 i know had that setting.
