Philippines apparently has the same adaptor, however, different voltage? I'll look into that.

Yes, all countries in Europe use the same adapter.

mitz, if i were you, i'd be much less worried about charging the battery and more about unloading the flash memory! make sure you have enough "film" to last you! You can't just develop these things out of your butt crack. hehe

How much compact flash memory should I bring on a 6 week trip? I have a 128mb card and I never fill that up on my week long trips.

What would you recommend?

I have 256MB card in mine ($60 from Dell a while ago) because I shoot at the highest resolution, so I can fit only about 300 pictures on one card which is a lot, but not TOO much. I'd definitely get one more 128MB card, at least you won't have to worry about running out.

Got MSN rebate 80, Amex BVG 140, net 180 plus accessory kit. Not bad. Indoor picture OK, weak flash. Outdoor is excellent. I have an Olympus C2100 already. They are the two extremes: one very big, one very small; one has a 10x zoom, one has only 2x. One has very strong flash, one is weak; one uses smartmedia and this one uses compact flash; one uses AA battery one uses proprietory battery... Overall Olympus produces better pictures. But I love both of them.
