Canon released three A-series digicam (A30, A40, and A100) at the PMA2002...but it doesn't seem to lower down the price on s110...

I would buy it right now for $300...if possible...^^

btw, good guys has price match for their online store, plus free shipping and no taxes... the S40 would be about 580 - 600 depending on how they match shipping from other site... pretty nice for a $700 - 800 bucks camera...

yup.....picked up an S110 at Xmas.....cost me around $170 all said and done.

Excellent camera.

i think it's the S100 that you might be referring to as the "discontinued" model - the S110 replaces the S100, and they just released the S110 late '00-'01. the S110 is much better because it has better resolutions and quality as well as the movie mode! Dpreview compares the cameras side by side so check them out for more info.

size for one and the video capabilities.. also I think the a20 takes lens attachments. rechargable battery on s110.

price: a20 is $324 @ gateway - $30 off $199 instant coupon (if u can find it).

s110 is $339 cheapest so far.
