You never know when price mistakes might come through. Sometimes people even get gift certificates as a "thank you for understanding" it was price mistake. Sometimes you get real lucky and actually get the deal. I still have five Belkin NIC cards I got for 95 cents apiece with free shipping. It never hurts to try.

Go back to FW where people will praise you for this deal.
Here, we like to rip people for posting stupid deals like that.
It is not about ethic, it's about common sense.
Even the stupidest employee will question the $300 differences.

I don't really care about this deal since I don't like how it works...period.

Here's how I see about people in this forum and others ie. Fat.
That don't really matter either it's people from Fat or here who successfully got the cams.
There are tons of lurkers who always seem to sneek around everywhere.

The one who got the cam and posted overthere, in fact, might be a registered mem here.

So, all in all, you can't really justify either people overthere always trick the deal and people here stay clean.

Might be the other way around but no one ever tells you.

the S330 was discontinued before the S400 was released, i believe... the S400 basically does replace the S330 because of the 3X zoom in a smaller body.
there's nothing wrong with the S330 --- it's just bigger

seriously people, leave the guy alone. You think CC WANTS people to make $27 for buying products, NO! THEY DON'T. Yet I don't see you laying on that guy that posted that deal. This forum is all about getting things cheap sans five-finger discount. I don't see a lot of people yelling and complaining when a price mistake happens at dell (Brings to mind the $360 plasma TV incident), did someone get fired for that? probably. Yet all I hear in those threads are "Man, I wish I got in on that" or "Shoot, OOS". Leave the guy alone.

Hell, I wish I could get a deal like this. I would be bouncing all the way home. If they are doing bait and switch though, someone should just keep collecting their mispriced ads and turn them in to the proper authorities.

Amen. It would be interesting to know how many hypocrites got in on that deal and posted in this thread. For the record I've passed on both of them.

I got one for $214, the cashier did not do a pricematch. What she did was that she just took the price directly from the ad. So the price was $199.99 plus about $15 tax. Me and my friend got one each.

If you do not want to try on this deal then please do not crap the thread. Just go away. This is the "Hot Deals" forum, a place for us to get information on how to buy stuff at a cheaper price.

Big thanks to the OP. Thank you very much.

This is really horrible....it's one thing to try buy the item at the store (Gateway) that posted the price mistake, but this is basically making up a fake price of an ad and ask the other stores(BestBuy) to pricematch....very very dishonest.

Its is far from fraud. The stores want printed advertisements the magazine is a printed advertisement. Its not mine, or yours if the employee doesn't bother calling to double check. I don't have any problem if they call to check, any deal. Hell I even waited for BB to open one time, sat at frys for extra 30 minutes to get PM.

Some people like me never realized that camera goes in reality for $499 well that's because I already have a digital camera and haven't followed up much on it lately.

and thats where the average joe who gets PC mag(I equate this to my sister) doesn't no better, and heads to CC/BB/Frys wherever and wants that price. They are simply doing what the store allows them to do.

How is it fraud if you don't know? I mean seriously don't know. Not playing stupid. Not everyone checks the internet everyday for best prices.

You want examples of Fraud BVG to oem products. You know lots of people do this. they're totally decieving them that googlegear or whereever is selling a retail drive when infact they are selling a bare drive.

if you faked your own ad and tried to pricematch against that, then yes it's fraud... i don't see anything fradulent about this... morally wrong yes but i haven't seen nearly as many thread crappers in other morally wrong posts...
