The biggest change is the 2.5 inch screen on the SD450 compared to the 2.0 inch screen on the SD400.

I jumped on this, seems like excellent deal and comparing it to SD450, the only thing they changed is the ring around the lens and added autorotation feature. Not worth extra 100$. Canon definitely has better product in comparison with Kodak.

Actually, the sd450 added a bigger screen, the menu was "enhanced" for the bigger screen, there are four more shooting modes, and the biggest deal is that they reinforced the screens that were so problematic (cracking) in the sd400. Finally, I've heard that the new canons also resolved the high noise issue when in movie mode although I can't say for sure.
I'm having major stress trying to decide whether to save 100 bucks or go for the newer model. More thoughts on this would be nice.
Oh, ok... I better cancel the order then The reinforced screen thing is extremely important to me.
P.S. AquariusX, thank you for keeping me out of trouble

I don't know if you should cancel your order. I mean there are a lot of people who are saying that the screen issue wasnt a big deal for them. They treated the camera pretty harshly and nothing happened. I guess it just comes down to luck... In any event, after reading a lot cams ranging from Fuji to Sony to Canon, Canon seems to be the way to go.
I think you will be happy with either choice, but I really like that 2.5" screen on the sd450. After seeing the difference in 2" and 2.5", I'm gonna dish out the extra 100 bucks for it.
If you would like to keep your sd400 I recommend a screen protector that can be found HERE
It's only 8 bucks and it will allow you to enjoy that sd400 with no worries. Good luck with the decision.

Is it this one?

I believe so... just go on the site and you can search by model. Several people on other forums have recommended it.

I believe you should also be able to stack the $25 off $150 DPA coupon (it will only apply when you pay with dell preferred account and start the checkout procedure). I haven't tested it out but it works with the Fuji deal described on SD.

Unfortunately, I bought my PowerShot SD400 on the 9th of September (this year) and 4 days later, the screen cracked. NewEgg refuses to replace it, stating that I a) damaged the camera physically or b) it must have been damaged when I shipped it for an RMA.
I am about to try to send it to Canon to see if they will replace it however I doubt they will so now I am about to be out $164 for something I didn't break...
Technically, this would make a good class-action lawsuit because it is obvious that Canon is trying to hide their problem by quietly releasing the 450 with "a bigger screen."
Complete crap.

I think you can order LCD from Canon for 50$ and try to replace it yourself.
