just wanted to let ppl know that not all devices can use 4 GB SD cards. newer ones should be able to. look for FAT32 support, and SD card support greater than 2 GB somewhere.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a SD750 or something in near future. There are a some problems on this camer that need to be fixed.

I did a ton of research before I bought this camera and have nothin but love for it =)

This is an excellent camera, don't get me wrong. For most people, this camera does a great job. However, I am picky about image, and I expected more from SD700. Perhaps Omar Siddique at Amazon says it best:

There's something about the photos the SD700 takes that I don't like. I find hard to quantify what makes them not as good as the ones taken by the SD600, but they seem almost over-processed, a little less crisp, a little less sharp, kind of like images smoothed out in Photoshop. Since the Digic engine is the same as the SD600, I can only theorize I'm seeing the results of the image stabilization and/or the new lens. I didn't like the effect and switched back to the SD600. The SD700 does take slightly better indoor photos that are cleared and less prone to shake, but the difference isn't that great vs the SD600. The SD700 also has a new CCD (the device that actually captures the image) which may be the culprit.

And I must agree, as some image zealots do as well. I don't like how the camera processes image stablization, but it is understandable since it is the first generation. There also is a persistent humming noise in movie, which is a minor problem. I am either going to get an SD630 or wait for the next generation.
