The camera is on sale at Buy.com for $414 so I called Staples and they price matched it. 110% pricematching came to $406 + tax which came to over $414, but they usually deliver it for free next day and since I'm going to Las Vegas tomorrow...it was worth it. If you have sales tax, this may be better for you as well.
This is a 6mp camera with 4X optical zoom (very rare for a compact) and image stabilazation. Very nice camera from what I can tell.
The only downside is that I've noticed a problem or a design flaw. The battery door closes, but seems to leave a little tiny gap which causes a clicking noise when pressure is placed on it (which is everytime that a picture is taken).
...I'm hoping that this is an isolated issue and can exchange it for one that doesn't have this problem, but if this is common among this camera...I may have to return it and get something else.
Can someone that has this camera comment on this issue?
*edit* OK...I'm dumb. It clicks when nothing is in there, but when you put the battery and SD card in...it's fine.
*Also, I'm aware that a few places on froogle have better prices, but judging by their resellerratings, many of them seem to be bait and switch shops.
