I have an old Western Digital 4gb drive that used to have Windows 3.1 on it. I did the FDISK command to get rid of the old partitions and make one 4gb partion and set that to active. Formated the drive, and put windows 98se on the drive. After it asks for the first reboot, I did, but then it doesn't boot back up, just gives the "Invalid system disk" line. I set the boot order to floppy, cd-rom, then hdd. I removed the OS disk and floppy, but can't seem to read from the drive.
I've booted with the floppy in and I can do a c: dir and get all the windows files that were put on the hdd during the install. Just won't bring anything up.
When the drive and win3.1 on it, there were I think two partitions, but i deleted those and made one. Just trying to give all the info I've got.
Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
