I'm having a bit of trouble getting a good overclock out of my new Asus p5q-e motherboard and q6600. Even if I drop the multiplier, I can't get past 365fsb, give or take. I've been overclocking for a long time, but I don't really know what I'm doing with some of the more advanced settings you find on Intel chipsets and was hoping I could get some help. Here's what I've tried:
Two different CPU Q6600s, a B3 and a G0
6-9x multiplier
1:1 memory
333fsb strap (400 won't post no matter what)
CPU vcore 1.45
NB up to 1.34 or auto
CPU PLL 1.5 or auto
FSB termination up to 1.34
Mem up to 2.1
Removed 2 of my 4 2GB DIMMs
upgrading to 1003 bios
Nothing seems to help, the rest of my settings are on auto (which I understand overvolts automatically). Any ideas?
