Can't figure this one out

I got this info from pcpitstop, what can I do about it?
Drive C has an uncached speed of 0.94 megabytes per second.

Drive D has an uncached speed of 0.83 megabytes per second.

Drive E has an uncached speed of 0.83 megabytes per second.

For comparison, systems with the same CPU, clock speed, and memory size as this one have an average uncached speed of 2.65 MB/s .
It's an ibm drive.

I think you miss understand what BIG LAR MEANS.


Go into device manager, start>settings>control panel>system>device manager and check under disk drives where you should see entries like Generic IDE Disk Type 47, one for each physical disk. Right click on the disk and select properties. From there select settings and check that DMA is ticked. While you are there check the CD-ROM and any other IDE devices except IDE Zip drives.

After you have finished you will be prompted to restart which you should do after all the devices have been selected.

You may not have a DMA option if you have an older motherboard, when you should get the latest IDE drivers from the motherboard manf.

Sorry, It's a promise ata/66 controller.
I've updated drivers and bios from promise website.
I did try eliminating the at/66 but it made no difference....tom
