Can't get the screws into my PCI cards!

Dammit, this is getting really annoying. All my PCI cards are a few mm too far from the side of the case and i can't screw in the screws! What should i do?

a) see if you can reposition the mobo
b) contemplate "minor" bends on the bracket to "nudge" em closer.

what the hell are you guys talking about? mobo's have specific mount points that only allow for a 'smigin' of room to alter its position. if he cant get screws to hold the cards in place, then most likely he's got a crappy case and needs to get a new one. Even being a few mm off will allow the screw to hold the card. if its this noticable... theres a design flaw in the case.

Same thing happened to my soundcard, so I took out the screw on the top of the card so the metal strip bends forward a little.

I'd move the MB as much as you can and then bend stuff...

I had the same problem and what I did was I put the screws into the case a little bit first then forced the PCI card onto the screws.
