Can't get USB to work on my ABIT K7TA Raid

I can't get USB to work on my ABIT K7TA Raid. When I try to run the patch it says registry key. Any ideas? I am running 98 first edition.

What patch are you referring to? I know there is a Microsoft USB patch for Via chipset based boards, but it only pertains to Windows 98 Second edition. Or are you referring to the Via USB filter driver?

I'm using the drivers that came with the board. I think they called them the 4.26 4-in-1 driver. Isn't the USB Filter only for Win95 machines?

Not to be a smart-ass here, but you did make sure to enable the USB ports in the BIOS, right? I know with Abit's fail-safe defaults, it's not turned on.

Yup, USB enabled in BIOS...
this is becoming a pain in the a$$, I emailed abit about the problem, if I get a response I'll post it
