Can't join CS:S office servers

I can't seem to be able to join cs_office servers. Whenever I try to join, it gives me an error saying that my cs_office.bsp does not match the servers. Funny that it was working fine the day before yesterday. I googled this a bit and some guy on a different forum posted that I need to delete local content, which means I'd have to download CS:S again. Is there no other way to fix this?

You could try verifying the cache files, link.

Delete your cs_office.bsp map file and redownload it from the server. If that doesn't work, I'm not sure what will besides reinstalling the game. cs_office is a stock map, though, so unless you modified it or something there shouldn't be anything wrong with it.

The maps file is located: steam/steamapps/account/counter-strike source/cstrike/maps

Yeah I would suggest downloading it from a server after deleting it. I used to have a similar problem with DoD:S maps and I just deleted the map then downloaded it directly from the server.

Don't delete everything, just delete that one .bsp file.

there shouldn't even be a cs_office.bsp file at all. The stock maps are embedded in the game gcfs. Just find the office file in your maps folder and blast it away. It's even safe to blast the whole dang directory. You can always redownload customs when you join servers or manually add your favorites from fpsbanana.com or something.

I remember when cs_militia came out, hundreds of players who had played a conversion of the 1.6 map and other militia variants that used the cs_militia filename encountered the same issue and posted the same issue in the steampowered forums shortly after the map was released. Same situation here. You must of joined some funky custom server that forced the map or something.

Try updating your video drivers first before you do anything with the game.

I've had quite a few people in my clan, who had problems joining maps and a simple video driver update fixed that (same message as you too).

Could very well be that file got corrupted, sucks to have to reinstall but CS:S installs pretty quick anyways.

I've had gay stuff like th is happen to me before. Just delete your cstrike folder... Program Files>Steam>Steamapps>YourName>CounterStrike folder location. Whenever you delete that, it gets rid of everything you've downloaded and reverts back to completely stock CS:S.
