Can't log into Windows Live ID, is Hotmail down again?

I tried several times to log-in early this morning (06:30EDT) and got the "Windows Live ID is down, try again later" error. Since then I've been using the same browser window and just clicking on my IE favorite for Hotmail and getting the same result. I just now used the same browser window to go to another site and then back to the Hotmail Log-in screen and got in without incident. Hmmm....it must have been down briefly about four hours ago.
