I am playing Demon's Souls right now, and it's amazing! (just started). It's mind boggling how many Dark Souls games and DLCs came out since Demon's Souls arrived. I bet 80% of people who played all these games never even finished Demon's Souls. And then there's also Nioh, and Bloodbourne. Maybe I'll get to those when I am 80 years old. lol
I really don't get why the PS3 got phased out so quickly. Sure, it's been around maybe 8 or 10 years, but in my opinion it still has a ton of potential. I hate how the manufacturers keep pumping out new technologies without supporting them fully. So what that PS4 is much more powerful than a PS3? Does it have as much games for it as the PS3? No, so end of discussion right there. It doesn't matter how awesome the system is, what matters, is how much support it has from developers and how big it's game library is.
So many people push 4k, but PS3 games look gorgeous on my 1080p TV. And this is coming from a guy who plays at 4k on a PC with a GTX 1070. Yes, there is a noticeable difference between 4k and 1080p, but is it something that one cant live without? Absolutely not.
I am not advocating staying in the stone-age, but I don't support killing off old technologies before every last bit of potential has been sucked out of them. I don't play online, so I am wondering if the PS3 servers are even still alive... What are the odds of anyone coming into your game of Demons Souls these days? Probably, the odds are not very good at all.
