can't set up any voice chat( Roger Wilco or Gamevoice) with my d-604

When i set up the voice com on my computer, it only allow me to use the private ip and others won't be able to join my chat, is there a way to get around it? so people can actually join my chat thru my real ip? plz guide me thru. I am a router n00b : /

You have to forward the appropriate ports for your voice chat services to your internal IP. There should be some port forwarding options in your router settings. I would think the voice chat services would also list what ports they use.

Not sure how the settings are layed out on a D-604 since I have never used one but they should be in there. With Linksys it's under "Advanced" and "Port Forwarding"

Open the following ports to use the Game Voice software through a firewall, proxy, or NAT:
Initial TCP Port 47624 (inbound and outbound).
Subsequent TCP Ports 2300-2400 (all ports in this series, inbound and outbound).
Subsequent UDP Ports 2300-2400 (all ports in this series, inbound and outbound).
