A lot of machines are like this for me. Win 10 can only wake with power button. Keyboard and mouse wont work. I have them enabled in the bios and windows is only set to sleep, not turn off disk or hybrid sleep.
Are these machines Win 10 out of the box or where they upgraded? I have noticed that some Windows 10 upgrades, with the default MS chipset (and other MB) drivers, won't perform these functions quite right without software updates.
It depends on which sleep mode you want to wake up from.
For the OP, the problem is most likely the need to set Windows to listen. When the change to Anniversary Update took place, Windows reset the settings.
