CapXon Caps bad?

Last May I purchased a Kingwin ABT-450MM Power supply from newegg. It had good reviews, and I found a Hardware secrets review that had quite good results. It has been working flawlessly for over a year now. And I have to say, it is a quiet, well performing, stable power supply. My worry is that the HWS review didn't have a Capacitor brand name. I looked in teh vent on mine today, and I saw the 2 main caps say CapXon on them. I looked them up, and they seem to be on the "bad caps" list. Should I be concerned? I mean, I have had no problems with the PSU at all, much better than the $25 hec ORION unit I bought for an old system (Lots of interference on poorly shielded speakers from it, and low 12V voltage) . I don't know what to think. I'm very good with computers, but Capacitors are something I'm not good at. Anyone have bad experience with this brand in their PSUs in the past?

mediocre quality capacitors are 99% of the time OK on the primary (60Hz) side. Its the caps on the 100kHz filtering side you need to be concerned about. These will be the largest caps in direct proximity of the wiring coming out of the psu, Teapo and Samxon are the only taiwanese/chinese caps that are generally OK for long term secondard side filtering.

Bad caps or good caps, they can still blow up. Just because they're not Nippon Chemi Con, Rubicon, etc. doesn't mean your PSU will die in a blaze of glory if you sneeze on it; it just puts it at a higher risk.

As long as it's working fine, I'd say keep on using it. If you can't afford to replace the hardware it's powering should something catastrophic happen, go ahead and spring the cash now and grab a lower wattage Corsair, Antec, SeaSonic, etc.

Can't speak to the PSU (although I'm sure there are more solid bargain PSUs than a Kingwin), but The Samsung 225BW monitor in my sig that I've had for almost 3 years is crapping out.

I haven't opened it up yet to look, but Googling reveals that the problem is almost surely some Capxon caps that have gone bad.

Once the Acer I ordered gets here, I plan on having a look.
