Where can I find info/reviews on car audio equipment? Im looking for sub/box/amp, but unsure of which brand/model to buy. Just need a few good sites where I can do some research. Here are some questions I need help answering:

Which brand is considered top notch in price/performance? mainly in amps and subs?
Whats the difference between sealed, band pass, and ported boxes?
where should I buy my equipment from? ebay yay or nay?

I currently have a rockford 9110 source, 1 alpine amp (not sure which model, but its like 4 years old) connected to alpine seperates and 2 6x9's. I want to add another amp and sub system.

www.elitecaraudio.com has some reviews on some products. You can find most of the information you are looking for on audio forums. Try elitecaraudio.com, forum.sounddomain.com, www.termpro.com etc.

For Price/performance check out US Acoustics and JBL for amps.. Adire Audio, IDQ, Edesign for subs.

"Sealed enclosures produce tight, accurate sound. They are good for jazz, classical, light rock or country. Ported enclosures use a vent to increase low bass response. They produce a looser sound and will provide more volume compared to a sealed box with the same amplifier output. Ported enclosures are good for rap and hard rock."

I'd forget about band pass all together.. decide between ported and sealed. I personally like sealed.. it also depends a lot on the sub and your taste in music. Remember, a ported box is a bit harder to build, a bit more pickier on specifications and generally take up more space.
