Ok, I either have $3000, or up to ~$6000.

For the $6000 range, I can get:

'94+ Celica
'92+ MR2
'95+ Eclipse
'95+ Civic

For the $3000 range...
'93+ MX6
'87+ Supra
'90-'94 Eclipse (With turbo and AWD even)
<'96 Civic

So, what do you people like the most?

P.S. you can add car ideas, but NO trucks!! And it can't be over $6000 firm.

I would advice to take a Toyota, they are the best when ever they do a test here in Europe (in Germany they do big tests).
They are most relayable and less breaking down.

(I will change my sig, because now I'm serious)

depends what you're after. speed, sporty looks, practicality, space, realiability. you can start here, might give you some better ideas if you're interested in that celica. i was thinking of an MR2 but decided 4 seats was a must my next choice is a civic, the eclipse isn't the most reliable choice you've got (i need this thing to get me through college and then some )

MR2's don't have back seets?

Well, we can mark that off can't we :/

Any other car suggestions are acceptable!

I want the best looking, really, and performance if I can. The 90-94 eclipses can have AWD and Turbo, so to make up for the oldish look, I have power under the hood. The Celicas are really pretty, my friend has a 2001, but it's a totally different body style. Damn him and his rich parents -_-;; To bad he lost his job and won't be able to pay the insurance anymore ^_^ fuahah

That doesn't help me :/

The '90-'94 eclipse with a Combat Bomb kit looks REALLY cool (in my eyes) but there is a lot of stuff for the other cars... I want a '95+ eclipse because of the nicer interior, and more rounded exterior, and I can get some neat body kits for it too... I was thinking of the eclipse as a priority car for both price ranges.

The celica really captivates me, but I'd like to see one in real life before buying one... And lord knows, I've seen PLENTY of eclipse's :/

Jfur, I think you like the Celica

I want a car with a small front end so I can control the car better, and in some pictures they make the front of a celica look like it's 50 foot long... the overall car length is around 175 inches, so I know it can't be that big, but when you're driving, can you see the hood?

check out the celica in person first before you make any decisions.

i couldn't find any 1995 eclipses in my area for under $7k, maybe you'll have better luck though.

Psst, I'm going for any distance, even though it'd cost me $1000 or so to ship the car to me -_-;;

Well what's better, a slow auto, or a fast auto?

I like the LOOKS of cars, I really don't care _that_ much about performance..

That's why the car is only going to be 3-6 grand. 'sides, it's going to be under my mom's insurance, but I'm going to be on the policy. So I get really cheap insurance, fully insured.

hahaha even under mom's insurance don't expect it to be cheap. A young kid with a turbo car can easily add 150-250/month to a parents insurance policy, or more.

Better get on the phone with the insurance company and get quoted on all the cars before making the decision.

Well, I have had an '85 and '77. DOn't know about the newer ones, but they are both easy to control and do not have big noses

I have to pay insurance, mom and dad are paying for the car itself. If under $3000 we're taking a 1 year lease, if 3000-6000, we're taking a two year lease. I want a good car that'll last me through college. In two years I'll be out of high school....

Go for a Toyota or Honda, they will never let you hanging on the side of the road.
