That's not healthy with a blower, especially a roots blower. Need a vacuum controlled bypass valve that shunts the upper and lower intake around the blower when crusing.

Yeah, I got a roots blower with a vacuum controlled bypass valve that redirects air around the blower at < 0psi (cruise around -15 to -10in.Hg). It still baffles me how the vacuum pressure can pull with that much force to open the spring-loaded bypass valve (similar to throttle body). Cool technology nonetheless. An "easter egg", if you will

But most are not.

o rly?

1. When the temperature drops below 37 F degrees, the car beeps to let you know to watch out for icy roads. Also, the rear defroster comes on.

Ice warning
If the outside temperature drops to about 37.57/+36, then the computer will automatically switch to a display of the outside temperature. In addition, a signal sounds as a warning and the display flashes for a brief period.

your manual, page 80

2. You can read the odometer with the car off; all you have to do is press the needle on the left.

Odometer
You can activate the displays shown in the illustration with the ignition key in position 0 by pressing the left button in the instrument cluster.

your manual, page 76

4. There is a "secret" compartment underneath my car's armrest and a Coin box in center console.

Beverage holders, coin box
A coin box and two beverage holders are provided in the center console

your manual, page 98

5. There is a trunk release right above the hood release (not on all cars)

To open from the inside
If the luggage compartment lid has not been locked separately, you can open it with this button in the footwell on the driver's side when the vehicle is stationary.

your manual, page 36

6. There is an exterior trunk release above the license plate and under the ledge.

To open from the outside
Press the button in the handle recess: the luggage compartment lid opens slightly.

your manual, page 35

8. There are amber lights that shine on the center console.

Light-emitting diodes
Light-emitting diodes (LEDs) installed behind translucent lenses serve as the light sources for many of the controls and displays in your vehicle. These light-emitting diodes are related to conventional lasers, and legislation defines them as light-emitting diodes, Class 1.

your manual, page 90

11. You may be able to auto-roll down of windows from the remote control. Another way is to put the key in the door handle and turn to the unlock position and hold it there. This will also open and close the moon roof or put a convertible top down.
12. If you push the unlock button on the remote once it will unlock the driver door, for ‘02s if you push the unlock button on the remote twice it will unlock all the doors…then once all that is done.... push and hold the unlock button on the remote the windows will start to roll down... then the sunroof will open too.

To release
Press button to unlock the driver's door only.
Press the button a second time to unlock all vehicle locks.<

Convenience opening mode
Press and hold button. The windows and the glass sunroof open.

your manual, page 31, 32, and 33.

14. There is also a first aid kit under the passengers seat.

The first-aid kit is located under the front passenger's seat. To open: pull the handle and fold the cover down.

your manual, page 23.

16. The safety strip along each window and sunroof that detects obstructions and retracts them. (Along with a timer that prevents the motors from burning out if in use too long).

Safety feature
The windows are each equipped with contact strips located in the upper window frames. If pressure is exerted against this contact strip while a window is being raised, the system will
respond by stopping the window and then retracting it a small distance.

your manual, page 40

19. The radio, sunroof, and other "ignition" triggered accessories are available for a period of time after the car is turned off until a door is opened.

Listening to the radio with the ignition switched off The radio and its functions can still be accessed for up to 20 minutes after the ignition has been switched off (with the ignition key in position 0 or removed). When the ignition is switched off, the unit switches off as well. To switch the unit back on

your radio manual, page 11

23. Flashing the high beams after ignition is turned off will leave the headlamps on for a preset amount of time for security while parking the vehicle.

Follow me home lamps When you activate the headlamp flasher after parking the vehicle and switching off the lights, the low beams will come on for a brief period.

your manual, page 88

24. The Keyless Entry system utilizes antennae in the rear window, change key codes every time, will deactivate keys if a key is pressed too many times without response from the car, the key recharges while in the ignition switch, and they store all sorts of presets, from seat positions to IHKA control settings.

In every master key with the remote control feature there is an extended-life battery that is charged automatically in the ignition lock as you drive.

Examples for Key Memory:
>Locks the vehicle automatically after you start off, refer to page 34 >Automatically moves the seat and outside mirror into position for the programmed driver when unlocking
the vehicle, refer to page 49 >Automatic tilting of the passengerside mirror, refer to Automatic curb monitor, page 50

your manual, pages 30 and 60.

25. The radio remembers the settings separate for each input. (E.g., CD input can have the bass/treble/balance/fade settings different from the F.M. radio)

The sound setting for bass and treble is source-dependent, i.e. can be adjusted separately for the radio, CD changer and CD. Changing the audio source will call up the last sound setting used for this particular audio source.

your radio manual, page 12

26. Left Side Mirror will tilt in reverse (check to make sure your mirror selection switch is in center or left position to use this feature)
Door locks that engage when you go 8 Miles per hour (Dealer need to turn this feature on).

Passenger-side exterior mirror tilt function
Automatic curb monitor*
1. Move mirror selector switch 1 to the driver's mirror position
2. When shifting into Reverse or placing the selector lever in position R, the passenger-side mirror tilts downward. This allows the driver to see the area directly adjacent to the vehicle
during parking – curbs, etc.

your manual, page 50.

28. Put your turn signal either on the left or right position, with no key in the ignition, close the door and walk away. What you will see is the front blinker, and rear turn signal stay lit. From what I read, it's supposed to be a feature to for people to see your car when it's parked at night in those really tight streets in Europe. This way no one accidentally drives into your car.

Standing lamps, left or right As an additional feature, you can illuminate your vehicle on either side for parking, if you wish to do so: With the ignition key in position 0, push
the lever in the appropriate direction. The lever engages in the turn signal position.

your manual, page 89

29. If you look on your roof, there will be two flaps on each side that are plastic and body colors. You can remove them and there is a little hole in each one that accepts the BMW Roof Rack.

A special roof-rack system is available as an optional extra for your BMW. Please observe the precautions included with the installation instructions.

your manual, page 106

30. Hold down the PTY button (this works, to my knowledge, on cars w/nav) and you will turn on AUTOPTY--it'll display the type of music station if the data is present. I think this works for RDS too.... that way, you don't have to keep pressing it when you switch to radio or change stations etc.

Automatic PTY display Hold this key down until "PTY AUTO" shows up in the display.

your radio manual, page 20

31. Change the Speed Sensitive Volume Ratio - E46 Business CD Head Unit:
Turn the radio off then on again. Don’t touch any button except the 'm' button - the button you use to tune the radio frequency manually. Press and hold the 'm' button for TEN seconds or until the display changes. It will then show the serial number of the unit. Normally when you press 'm', the display will reflect that by replacing 'ST' (stereo tuning) with 'm'. When holding the 'm' button for this procedure, the display should not do this - you will continue to see 'ST' for the ten seconds. Now if the display has changed, you are in a configure mode on the radio. If you press the '>' or '<' button you change modes. The mode you want will display as "GAL (1-6)". This mode allows you to adjust the speed-sensitive volume control. Use the radio preset buttons 1-6 to set the amount of volume change you want at speed. Setting 1 is the smallest change, 6 is the highest. I use 1 with the windows closed, and 5 when it's a nice enough day to drive with the windows open, which makes for a lot of ambient noise at speed. The car is so quiet with the windows closed that setting 1 is fine. Then turn the radio OFF to save the settings. Turn it back on; go for a drive to test it. The other semi-useful test mode will tell you the signal strength of any given station from 0 to 15 (highest). Use the preset buttons to change stations in the mode. This capability is probably used in the automatic tuning function in the radio.

Setting the speed-dependent volume
To compensate for increasing noise in the passenger compartment with increased vehicle speed, your unit is equipped with a speed-dependent volume control (Speed Volume). This
function will increase volume as speed likewise increases. You can set the volume increase in 6 levels. The higher the level you choose, the greater the increase in volume.

your radio manual, page 11 and 12

33. If you want to leave your windows down but have the alarm set, but not have to worry about the motion detector go off, you can arm you alarm by hitting the lock button, and then wait a second and hit the button again. You'll see the clown nose light up for a second, which means the motion detector is deactivated

To deactivate the tilt alarm* and interior motion sensors* Press button a second time immediately after locking. For additional information: page 39.

your manual, page 32

37. In Euro delivery cars, there is a warning triangle in a blue plastic case that bolts to the left rear of the trunk and a first aid kit under the passenger seat.

The hazard warning triangle is stored in a storage case on the left side of the luggage compartment.

your manual, page 23.

I'm sure some of the others are in there as well, why don't you try actually reading your manual.

Friend was checking out my car a few weeks ago when he noticed a switch on my front cupholders. Didn't notice it when I bought the car. Anywayz...I have heated/chilled cupholders with red/blue lighting around them that indicate which mode. I was pretty ecstatic when we figured it out

It's a 2012 Chrysler 300S. It does have heated seats all-around and heated steering wheel too. First new car I've owned in 12 years, so I'm pretty amazed with all the electronics and features cars come with nowadays when I was shopping around.

Mine does in theory but it's never come on - I'm not sure it works TBH

lol on my ex-wifes escort when that light came on you better be pulling into a gas station. once it was on if you went another 1/4th mile it was luck.

on my Taurus when the light comes on i can still go to and from town a couple times.
