All cars should have a tilt sensor and a pager that lets them know if their car's sensors have been triggered. Other than that just GPS man.

BTW, I've noted that the FS-90 security system to be the best.

Sherlock + good insurance company.

I don't want anybody messing with the car's electrical system to install useless stuff that thieves can circumvent in 10 seconds.

Who says it takes thieves 10 seconds to circumvent it?

If it reduces the possibility of your car getting chopped into individual parts, then the more the merrier.

Its nearly impossible to find an installer that will install an alarm such that everything is hidden. I have seen some installs where components are hidden behind all sorts of interior panels and the wiring is completely stealth. Good luck finding an installer that will do that and not charge an arm and two legs in labor.

this is SoP at my friends shop. it doesnt take much longer to do, and its worth it if he can keep thieves from finding them.

while i have an alarm with start kill and fuel shut off, i also have my own shutoff wired in. this will not stop someone from stealing it with a flat bed tow truck, like they did with my cadillac. in my driveway. with an active alarm (not installed by me, unfortunately) and a custom kill circuit.

I agree, a lot of shops will not do that. That is why I did it myself on my RX-7 when I had it. If you did not know where anything was, you would not find the parts I installed. For example, the siren was inside the front bumper cover (out of sight, but still very loud), hid the keypad inside the center console, hid the alarm box, battery and relay on brackets behind the storage bins, ignition kill was a hidden switch that you would never find.
