Car suggestion thread

OK. I need some idea on a car.

Requirement:

-Must be large luxury sedan/coupe. Need to transport 2 small kids to school. No small car like M3.
-Exclusivity is a big plus. Maintenance cost really not a concern.
-Must be used car. No new car.
-Under $100k budget preferred.

Let's hear some suggestions.

The "large" makes it more difficult, getting mostly Mercedes/BMW/Porsche that certainly lack exclusivity.

I haven't seen (m)any X6's in the Atlanta area and they're unique looking, though finding a used one may be tough.

My initial response would be an S8 like several others have said...as I have lusted over that car since the movie Ronin came out.

That being said, if I was in the market for such a car I think if you can find a used 2010 7 series...that's the nicer car to drive. Of course I've never driven a S8...so my opinion is really crap...but I did drive a short wheelbase 7 series with the new turbo V8 engine...and I was VERY impressed.

If you want more exclusivity, I think the Maserati or Panamera is more likely to satisfy...although I have a feeling you are going to see a lot of Panamera's in the near future.

The Bentley Flying Spur is pretty ridiculous...although I don't know if you'd be able to find one in your price range. I also think it's ugly...but it is certainly ridiculous/exclusive in every way.

I know you said used...but I would at least do a test drive of the Jaguar XJ. I saw one in person the other day and it is beautiful in person even with the odd C pillars. I have not driven a Jaguar with their new 5.0l engine...but it seems every reviewer who has, has nothing but praise.

For large luxury, I would have said S8 or 750Li. Since you want exclusivity too, Jag XFR? Not sure if you'd find too many used though.

I've always loved the looks of the Mercedes-Benz CLS550. I drove one a few months ago and loved everything about it...except the nav system. Newer Command nav system is much better but I'm not sure if they have it in the CLS yet.

Completely agree, easily the most beautiful luxury sedan I've ever seen period. The coupe is equally beautiful. Not much for exclusivity, but tinted and sparkly wheels it will turn heads. Get black. Only black.
