A link would be helpful. Personally, it sounds like the snake oil of the 21st Century to me.

Wow, can you imagine? A LEGAL car wax!

For years, I've worried that cops would notice the World War II surplus "Zimmerit" anti-radar coating on my car. I mean, it is pretty distinctive...looks kind of like cake frosting.

But now, all I have to do is use a car wax to do the same thing! The next time some cop squints at my paint job and asks, "Is that a radar-absorbent coating on your vehicle, sir?" I can say, "Nope! And just look at that shine!"

Sounds too good to be true to me. I mean, I can buy that some schmoe sitting in his basement somewhere came up with a radar-absorbent wax when companies like DuPont, with millions of R&D dollars at the height of the Cold War couldn't...but can it really be LEGAL?

If it sounds too good to be true ...

I mean, are you really going to go speeding past a cop, relying on a WAX to save you? Personally, I use a Radar Detector with VG2 Guard, AND I keep on eye on the brake lights ahead of me. IF everyone is braking ... there's probably a cop ahead.

By the way, radar guns don't tell a cop WHO is speeding ... just that something is exceeding the limit. The COP decides with his own eyes who that something is. Wax won't save you, because wax can't tell you the cop is even there ...

The only way I can think of to "reduce" the reception of police radar is to diffuse the reflected radar. Seems the surface couldn't be too smooth to do this. What do you think this will make the car look like? Probably not very shiny...

I agree, snake oil of the 21st century.
