I wouldn't put much faith in carfax as I own a car that has been wrecked twice and when I ran a carfax report on it, free last year, no information about the accidents was reported. The car was 4 years old at the time and all repairs were done through the dealership. The second accident, a truck T-Boned my rear end cuasing >$5k in damages. I guess I don't have to worry about being busted on the damages when I go to trade the car in next year.
