Carlos Mencia vs Joe Rogan

Well, the video does kind of own 'Ned', but I'm still not sure if he really deserved it. They didn't give much evidence to backup that he steals jokes, besides some strangers saying so. Hiring illegal immigrants to build the big wall on the border is a joke a 10 year old could of come up with, it's so easy. He probably does steal jokes though. I don't like seeing people say 'who cares' since it's a guy stealing and getting rich on other people's material. If you don't care if people are getting rich off of other people's material, then you must be one of the millions of people who visits Ebaums world.

That would be the people agreeing and nodding their heads. That's not big evidence, maybe they just don't like him. I didn't say no evidence either, I said not much.

I'm sure Mencia steals jokes, but the one Rogan is jumping on him about is pretty stupid. I THOUGHT of that same exact joke years ago, and I've certainly heard it way before Ari did the joke. Yes, his punchline seemed similar, but that's not enough to be damning to me.

I want to see the 10 minutes of material that George Lopez claims was stolen from him.

the few comedians who were backing up Rogan, who are they? I honestly have never seen one, I'm sure they are somewhat upset Mencia has his own show and they are unknowns. I'm not going to argue weather or not Mencia is a funny comedian or not, but it's very possible the "stealing" of the jokes really isn't even stealing. This is a pretty bad comparison, but I write poetry, I've read thousands of poems, sometimes line stick in my head from poems I've read. But I don't realize that it's in my head because I read it somewhere else, and I add it to one of mine thinking I came up with it.

I can't imagine any person can remember everything they see/hear and where it came from. It would make sense if a comedian hears thousands of jokes, they can mistakenly use one, or even a few as they own. If a comedian has 1 5 minute set and has a few jokes from other comedians in there, you have a problem. But how much material has Mencia had, between his stand up specials, and his weekly show. I'd imagine A LOT. A few used jokes in dozens of hours of material isn't quite the same problem.

QueBert, your GF may be Panamanian and Native American, but that doesn't mean she can't be half black. Are there not descendents of Africans living in Panama? Panamanian is not a race, but black is.

Actually the proper sociological/anthropological terms for the three "races" are: caucasoid, mongoloid, and negroid (not white, yellow, and black). The term australoid is sometimes used to refer to aborginal people. So someone having dark skin doesn't necessarily dictate race.

I wouldn't really say George Lopez and Bobby Lee are unknowns, they both said Carlos stole their jokes. George Lopez has his own sitcom on ABC and Bobby Lee is one of the main cast members of MadTV.

Actually, Mencia never backed down because he couldn't stand up to anything. The whole time he doesn't have anything to say to the accusations because he knows they are true. He just keeps insulting Rogan because he has nothing else to say.

Rogan did not "screw himself" hard. Like there are no other clubs that will have him. And all the money he already has from his previous jobs as actor, host or comedian doesn't really leave him hanging.
