Carne asada is a specific type of meat grilled a specific way.

A milk shake is a specific milk product shaken (or otherwise mixed) in a specific way

Actually, here's a better way for you to learn.

Start a Mexican restaurant and offer carne asada burritos.

When people order carne asada burritos, give them burritos filled with grilled chicken and tell them, "Well, carne asada just means grilled meat!"
