Toyota MR2, and not the crap final-gen one, the real one from the 80s to mid 90s.

2011 bmw 650i.

Heh.

I agree with the first two in the OP but never felt like the Firebird differed enough from the Camaro to warrant a separate line. There was a time IMHO when the Firebird looked better than the Camaro but not in the last few generations.

Great choices. Make the Supra in the turbo version, plz.

Toyota MR2, and not the crap final-gen one, the real one from the 80s to mid 90s.

Another great choice. The 2nd gen turbo MR2 seemed pretty spunky.

My choices:

Toyota pickup - the original small with 4 cylinder model. Make it cheap and reliable.

Pontiac GTO - the recent one that was a rebadged Holden with a Corvette engine.

Pontiac G8 - along with the recent model GTO were the only Pontiac vehicles I would consider buying.

Honda CRX - a real successor, not the CRZ or whatever.

Acura NSX - Honda got so much right in this, just needs an update with twice the power and wider tires.

Nissan 240SX - seemed like a nice sporty car, almost a budget ZX in a sense.

Mazda Miata - wait, they still make these right? Well, I'd want one that went back to the roots with lighter weight and cheaper price. Seriously, the Miata goes from around $23k to over $30k MSRP these days. For $30k I would want to see a shit-ton more power, not the same 168BHP or so of all the others.

Mazda RX7 - the most recent gen looked sexier than the RX8 IMO and had turbo power.

Acura Integra - bring back the real Type-R!

Honda S200 - yeah.

Nissan 240sx, with at least 200hp. The 200hp 2.5L from the current Sentra Spec-V would be great.

Edit: BTW Zap, it's not a "sporty car", it's a sports car. Plus it was the closest you could get to the original Z, since the 300ZX/350Z/370Z are such porky touring cars. It's a shame that it was outsold by FWD cars like the Integra and Prelude. WTF was Nissan thinking giving it only 155hp?

I would love to see a gen2 Kappa platform with a few less compromises. GM was pretty afraid of the Kappa cars eating into Corvette sales. A slightly stiffer chassis with some weight taken away, a V8, and some space under the rear wheel wells for some wide tires and it would be one evil little car. Also a hardtop version that doesn't look like ass.

I second the voting to bring back the Supra, and real Skylines too. Im also not looking forward to the rebirth of the Viper in GT form as all the rumors suggest.

3rd Generation Acura Integra, 94-01, drove mine today, and I forgot how fun of a car it is to drive.

Any car on Barrett Jackson that has sold for more than $100,000 so that those 1970s cars sitting in bomb shelter graves instantly become worth $20,000 instead of $800,000.

Just because I want to see the sour looks on the faces of guys who don't care about the cars themselves and just trade them like stocks. They would rather send those cars to the crusher than lose $5 on them.

Realistically I'd like to see numerous cars brought back, including some newer ones as mentioned like the Supra, but in retrospect, I think it would dilute the nostalgia of what makes these types of cars classic and legendary. I'd rather pay $40,000 for a used Supra and have it mean something than $30,000 for something that's just "another new car". It's just not the same.

i don't want any cars brought back. if old cars were any good, they would still be making them. there are many elements of old cars that would be great to have on a modern car, however.

Is it just me, or does your last bit contradict the first? :\

It does, and I realized it when I posted, just haven't unscrambled what I'm trying to say in my brain yet, in technical mode at the moment

A car that is special is more special when it's no longer made, regardless the monetary value, if that makes sense.

I get that. But, it's the Barrett Jackson tards you had a problem with. I do too. But, at the same time, you want a car like the Supra to stay that way. I guess it depends on how bad BJ inflates the value and sees a car as a money maker and nothing more. There needs to be a happy medium, that sadly doesn't exist with certain cars.

Saturn S-Series.

The S-Series was a good platform and had (with the exception of oil burning issues) superior reliability, but there was nothing really special about the S series except for plastic body panels. The only desirable attribute of the S-series was that they run forever, which isn't really enough for me to say they should bring them back. I'd rather GM make a new car with the same level of engineering and quality found in the Saturn S-series rather than bring back the frumpy S-series. If the S-series was easy to mod, capable off-road, a torque monster or was the only vehicle in a unique category (like those amphibious cars that floated like a boat) that might be a reason, but a Saturn is none of those things. It's like saying Honda should bring back the 95 civic, not a bad vehicle but pretty vanilla compared to just about anything sold in the last 5 years.
