It is completely mind boggling, and I cannot think of any reason to excuse that. You can't get to 18~20 and not understand the depth of disability, to not at least once think of how that would be, to be in a chair.Fair points. I'm not saying you've convinced me, but what you're saying is certainly possible. I can only speak from personal experience, and my personal experience these days does not involve a lot of 20-somethings. My wife works in wheelchair services, before that palliative care, plus my experiences with my parents' disabilities, so for me the notion of fucking up someone's wheelchair is just mind-boggling.
I think situations like this ought to draw some harsh judgement from society, people doing shit like this ought to be social lepers for a year or so only, unless they keep up the shitty behaviour.
