CAS2 performance vs Cas3 @ cas2

heya's i can either get a 256 meg stick of pc150 kingmax which aparently will run 133Mhz @ cas2 for $330 NZD

or

i can get a 256 MB stick of Corsiar pc133 Cas2 ram for $360 NZD.

the kinmax is 30 bucks cheaper but will it and if it does will its 133Mhz Cas2 be same performance as the actual CAS2 corsiar??

The kingmax pc-150 is suppost to do cas 3 at 150mhz(most will actually do 150mhz cas 2) so it shouldn't have a problem doing 133mhz cas 2.

its not really its 300 new zealand money were like less than half USD

i cant find anywhere in NZ that sells anything other than corasir for cas2

so kingmax @cas2 133 is the smae performance as the corsiar cas2 133 ?

Use CAS2 whatever you get.
Do you realize this is where you can gain up to 33% performance between CAS2 and CAS3 in processor/memory intensive applications. That's hard to do in terms of comparison dollars with other components.

I have used Mushkin and Corsair, but Kingston high end chips are also good.

CAS2 at 133Mhz is CAS2 at 133Mhz, doesn't matter if it's PC150, PC133 or PC100.

If it does CAS2 at 133Mhz unless it's really crappy RAM performance will be the same.

Neither Corsair or Kingmax is really crappy RAM, so get whichever's cheaper.

Kingmax is good stuff. Cas2 is cas2.

I seriously can't tell the difference between my Mosel PC143 @ Cas2 and my Micron PC133 @ Cas3. Hmmm, oh well. Doesn't matter to me now any how. Not going for performance this time.

BTW the Micron can run 2-2-2 @ 150. The Mosel I only got up to 2-2-2 @ 145.
