Hey everybody. Haven't built a PC in a while so getting back into it after 5 or so years.
My current planned build is as follows:
Case: NZXT h700i
MB: Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro
CPU: Intel Core i5-9600K
GPU: EVGA GeForce RTX 2080
RAM: GSkill Trident Z RGB (2x8GB)
Storage: 2x Samsung 970 EVO 1TB
Cooling: NZXT Kraken X62
Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU 27"
PS: Corsair RM750x PS
I am currently planning to place my Kraken radiator on the front intake in a push configuration, with my rear 140mm and 3x 120mm top fans acting as exhaust (I assume this is the best approach). Regarding the front intake, the NZXT h700i front intake can be configured with either 3x120mm or 2x140mm options. So my question is this:
Which is my best option below to maximize airflow and cooling?
1) Buy the Kraken x72 system (3x120mm) configuration that covers the entire front intake and use all static pressure fans in push config. all across the radiator (I assume keeping CPU cool, but GPU worse off)
2) Buy the Kraken x62 system (2x140mm) configuration and leave any remaining space on the front intake blank. Again using all static pressure fans across the radiator, but with excess space in front (no idea what the expected CPU/GPU result would be)
3) Buy the Kraken x52 system (2x120mm) configuration, using static pressure fans across the radiator, but purchasing an additional third 120mm front intake fan that maximizes airflow (I assume worse option for CPU, but better for GPU?)
I am leaning toward option 2 as a happy medium, but would appreciated other, more expert opinions.
Thanks!
