Case fan setup

I'm wondering how you guys setup your fans in your cases...I'm about to buy a few quiet fans (2x80s and 1x92) and I'm wondering if I should get grills as well or maybe a fan clip. In my comp case right now I've got a holding cage for the fan but in the one I'm getting there's no such thing for exhaust fans (or intake ones for that matter). So I'll do without it but I'll probably be getting a grill for the side facing the inside of the computer so it doesn't tangle/cut up wires that may accidentally get in the fan blades. Does this make sense? Any advice would be nice...it would be sweet if you could post pics of your computer with a clear view to the fans.

Cases usually come with fan cages that I have seen. These are fine to use. IMO, attaching the fans to the chassis itself can help with noise reduction and vibration. You may need to drill holes in the chassis itself to place fans in the proper location and then use rubber grommets in the holes before you screw down the fan. Rubber grommets(5/16 in) can be found usually at local hardware stores. Fan guards are really up to you. IMO, I think they are necessary so that you don't have wires creep in there or you fingers by chance. Check out these pics of a case that was modded similar to mine. Good Luck!
