Hi guys looking for a little advice/opinion on a case for an upcoming build. It will be an air cooled Intel single gpu build. I'd like to have the option down the road to do water and multi gpu. The 3 cases I like/have narrowed it Dow to are 1. Thermaltake V71 2. Corsair 760t. 3. Coolermaster HAF x. I know the first 2 are not out yet but they look to be good cases for now and anything I want to do down the line. I would appreciate any opinion anyone has on any of them. Thanks.

The HAF X is a BIG case, just so you know. You could very easily get by with the HAF922 mid-tower, it has support for watercooling also... but it depends on what all you have going into it.

I would look at the Fractal Design Define R4, I hear nothing but good stuff about that case and I wouldn't mind getting one myself later on in the year

The R4 is not really a water cooling case nor is it optimal for dual GPU setups. It's built for quiet operation and air cooling.

I have three HAF 922 midtowers -- all with air-cooling, because as I said somewhere else here today, I'm an H2O "bystander." The 922's have features allowing for water. I wish (only for that reason) that you could fit a double-120 radiator on the case-bottom. I think the PSU would get in the way. [You'd have to do a little "metal-work" to install 2" double-caster wheels -- lifting the case off the floor. I do that easily; others would see it as an obstacle.]

I think -- otherwise -- you'd almost certainly need to mount the radiator on top. It should vent a double-120 rad. But if I were doing it, I'd buy a square rad that fits a single 200mm fan. OF course, the 922 also has the little rubberized holes for the water hoses in the top rear. I can only suspect this is for external reservoirs, radiators or bong chillers.

And some say the HAF is "ugly." No doubt about it: the HAF X is a big case. I used to prefer full to mid-towers. Not so much now.

Thanks for the input so far, I'm gonna go with a full tower, i want plenty of room to work and expand as much as i want, if there are other full towers i should be looking at I'm all ears.

I'm trying to go with a full tower, I'd love to hear the opinion of those that have an hafx or 750d since the 760t will be similiar.

I don't have any of these yet, but after all my research and thread on these forums, I've decided to go with the HAF-X myself.

So that would be my vote. From what I've seen, the HAF-XM is quite substantially worse at cooling multiple video cards compared to it's bigger brother the HAF-X, but equal at cooling the CPU. I would personally only recommend the HAF-XM for a single video card.

EDIT: I must admit the Thermaltake V71 looks like it will be pretty good as well. I wonder when it comes out?
