OK you Case & Cooling Gurus..........I'm in the market for a new Mid/Full Tower Case. Not really in to "fancy" or colored cases.......more into something that provides maximum cooling and maximum space efficiency! Cost not a real factor, rather have the best available!

My vote for not much $$ is the Antec Series cases: 830, 840 and the bigger ones.

Also the Lite-On FS020 is an awesome case without any mods, same with the Chenbro Genie. Look here at Coolcases.com

Antec 1040 end of story a great case and power supply. It has lots of room, good air flow and stable voltages off of the power supply. Many place sell these check pricewatch.com then resellerratings.com to check out the vendors.

No...just call the number and talk to Jim....he is the owner of coolcases.com and knows his stuff...you can buy the cases stock, with or with out PSUs, or you can have the hell modded out of it. It's up to you...call instead of doing the form......

Don't go cheap, you get what you pay for. Lian-Li PC-65 USB $165. This is the place to get it. Best cooling, it looks great and is completly toolless. I have one and I love it.

If he doesn't want a window, he could save money and get a PC-6x USB (not PC-65, though).

Hands Down. The Supermicro 760A Full Tower. (with a 400ps its 180.00) HUGE case.

I have the 750A (exactly the same except a 120mm fan has been added to the 760)

Its seen 5 years and 12 major upgrades from a PII 400 all the up to a P4 2.0@2.36. Not many cases can make that claim.

6 5/14 bays

Nothing tops it in cooling, space or features.

Remember, Antec built Supermicro cases before they went out on their own so their design is a least one generation behind Supermicro.

I would also check out the Fong-Kai's at Directtron.com.

If you are going to get the FK320, you definitely want to look at newegg too. They are very similarly priced, but ... while newegg doesn't give you the flexibility in PS choice that directron does, but if you want to get the basic PS that supports all the XPs, the ENP-0730, this PS comes standard on the ones newegg sells, plus the thumb screws, directron will charge you $16 more for that. shipping is similar (unless newegg runs another free shipping special, as they have done in each of the last two months.

The Fong Kais have a reputation for good quality & passive cooling engineering, whihc you indicated was important to you. roomy on the inside, but external bays are limited, though. there are lots of reviews on this case, do a google search.

Sheesh.......you guys are spectacular! So many choices......so much information! Now.........decisions, decisions..........I have decided one thing, after several years with removable Motherboard Trays, I believe I would miss it a hell of a lot so this is going on the "Must Have" list!

I've got one question also..........about a year ago, the "big deal" seemed to be the Tornado cases.........I actually have a Tornado 2000, and while it's a fine case, it's a bit loud for my tastes! Just figured I would see it mentioned here............

Again, Thanx for all the replies........
