Case suggestion

Hi all, I'm building a new computer. I'm looking for a big case because I'm not gonna move it and I'm a first time builder, so I'm looking for a lot of space. I also don't want it too loud. Here's my basic setup: http://secure.newegg.com/app/WishR.asp?ID=1397930 Ignore the HDD coolers, I'm taking those out, and I'm either gonna get an X800XL or X850 XT PE. Other than that, that list is basically what I'm getting. The reason I want a suggestion is someone said that though that case is good, the 80mm fans might be loud and not push the air well enough... so if anyone has any more suggestions that are close in price, I'm willing to go a bit more costly but not much.. that'd be great. Quiet and cool and big is nice. As you can see I already chose a PSU.

Silverstone Berserker. see my review at http://www.techimo.com/reviews/. Some of the other Silverstones are very nice too but considerably more expensive. The new XClio cases are pretty roomy but you have to "appreciate" the looks of them and the XClio PSUs are a top value - the AT effect is in full gear on them, often OOS. Enermax cases are worth a look and I always have to mention the Kingwin 424 series though they are just average sized.

I like Coolermaster CMStacker or the Thermaltake Armor 8000A. They're both extremely large and roomy and enough to fit everything and the kitchen sink.

Yea, I was looking at the thermaltake Armor... quick question though, why is the black one 20 bucks cheaper on NewEgg than the silver one?

Stacker is nice, ... I'll consider it.

What about any of those not ridiculously expensive Lian-li full tower ones ... the 7077's, are those nice?

EDIT: What's the dif between a Kandolf and an Armor? And I realized why the black is cheaper.. it's all steel. Yuck, I like the black better but it'll be a ton heavier. Not like I'm gonna move it around though.

I'm considering this, but I have 2 questions.. with the awkard mobo position, would I have any problems with the big ass Zalman AlCu HSF interfering or not fitting with the wind tunne? Also, do I need some extra longer cables because of the position of the mobo?

3rd question actually, is the PSU I chose good for this case?

Nice setup, you are doing pretty much the same build as I did 2 weeks ago. I went with the X800XL.

I used the Coolermaster Stacker and am very happy with it. LOTS of room, great cooling, and reasonably quiet. It is pretty large. The Fortron takes a bit of jiggling to get the holes to line up for the screws. I would recommend this case if you are willing to spend $150 for a case (check Directron for the price - they were better than Newegg, ZZF, and Monarch for the case).

So basically I'm set (does the X800XL brand matter), other than deciding on the case. It's been narrowed down more or less to the CM Stacker or the Silverstone TJ06. If someone could answer my q's about the TJ06, that'd be much appreciated and would help my decision making process greatly.

I'm not positive wether the Zalman would fit inside the wind tunnel, although i thinkthere should be little to no effect if you decide not to use the wind tunnel.Depending on the location of the ATX slot on the mobo and also the psu itself, you might need an extender. I know it's a bit of a hassle but it's still a great case with an ambitious design.

Since I'm a n00b at this, can you point me to an example of what an extender is/exactly what kind of thing I'll need? I really like that TJ06 case.

And not using the wind tunnel should have no adverse effects? That's good. Should I get the bigger (136mm) or the smaller (109mm) Zalman HSF?

The extension is for your power supply connector to the motherboard. Some power supplies won't reach the ATX connection on the M/B because the M/b is mounted upside down in the case. Also large heat sinks will not fit under the tunnel. I have the Aerocool Spiral Galaxies which is the same configuration inside as the Silverstone TJ06 and my Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 would not fit under the tunnel. If you remove the tunnel, you defeat the purpose of the case since there is no exhaust at the top of the case except for the power supply.

What, may I ask, did you do then?

Just wondering though, might I get a smaller case even? Considering my parts and such?

The only reason I even considered a bigger one is because I'm new to building, but if anyone has any easy suggestions of mid-towers with 120mm fans thats aren't too noisy and cool well and can fit a Zalman 7000 AlCu heatsink... or even the bigger 7700, please, do share.

Thanks, I like the look of that Lian Li especially. But I really also like that Aerocool, I'm just wondering if I get that would I need a dif HSF?
