When they have the sudden drop during the crash seen (where the guy's head goes through the ceiling), why does Tom Hank's head not do the same? He's standing up, too!?!?

I loved that movie.. but the real question is..
That box that he kept.. What the hell was in it?
he saved it the hole time.. And we never even found out... that pissed me off.

Didn't you know ceilings in airplane lavatories are much sturdier because the manufacturer knows the occupant has no seat belt???

It was a solar-powered, water-proof, satellite phone

(at least that's what the director said when you click on the hidden "special features" link on the 2nd DVD-disc)

<< because it's a MOVIE. >>

Yeah, but I think that was real footage. It really happened and they got it on film.

Word? LOL. Anyway why did he not open it and decided to deliver it when he opened the rest of the packages?

I think it was like this:
The attendant guy told him to sit down and buckle up and put on a life vest. He goes into the cabin, then walks back to the doorway place with his hands on the open-frame above him. IF the plane jolted right then he would've been ok with his hands up there... but he says to Tom: "Where's your life vest?" and then he takes his hands away from the frame, then the plane jolts and his head gets very messed up, damn that part was messed.
