1.0 GCN cards performance under mantle ranges from OK (as in, 0-10% uplift compared to DX11 path) to phenomenal (50%+ gains if you are cpu bound). There are like 2 o 3 places in all the vanilla maps that show 0% scaling on GCN 1.0 on Mantle compared to DX 11., being in A node from Shangai looking to post-levolution C node with 90 FOV is one special case when I see really zero gains on mantle, while on the rest of said map the gains are outstanding.
What worried a lot of people now is fixed, as now you get identical fog and color grading in both paths, and performance with Mantle on this patch is the same or even better than on the last one, guess what would be the new fudster move to downplay mantle now? :whiste:
PD: If your game is crashing right when the load screen ends, check to erase the ui.drawenable 1 from your user.cfg with notepad. That fixed it for me (was already on the verge of blaming the new beta drivers for that one, lol).
