With that rig I would seriously invest in a good powersupply! Think Antec or Fortron...

Works great for me even with fastwrites on,btw I did use Driver Cleaner since the ATI driver uninstall program always leaves some files for Driver Cleaner to find and clean-up .

They are working nice for me aswell. 3Dmark's stayed the same and some nice CoD fixes. :beer: to ATI

I always uninstall them via Add/Remove programs icon in Control Panel then boot into safe mode and run Driver Cleaner,then boot back to normal desktop and install drivers.




Driver Cleaner link ,they do include instructions in the readme file.

This fixes the problem with my 9700Pro @ 1280x1024 ( it would freeze after succesfull race when starting another).

Installed em. Looks to be stable although all I really play is bf1942/dc.

Had an ODD problem with installing these drivers. Uninstalled the 3.9s, went into safemode and ran DriverCleaner, restarted system - so far, so good. Booted fine and turned off my virus prog. Installed drivers, install hung at the end, and machine was in a hard lockup. After waiting 20 minutes, I was able to rebootand everything hung - no safe mode, no regular boot, nothing. Couldn't even shut the machine offunless I unplugged it. Got disgusted after an hour or so and walked away before I kicked it across the room.

Came back an hour later and plugged everything back in - wouldn't power up.

Already to give it up for the night and... It restarted and the 3.10s are there, tried a few rounds of UT2003 ansd everything is running as smooth as silk.

Kissed the machine, thanked the computer gods and went to bed.

I tell you that it wasn't funny at the time. Couldn't do a repair/restore. 2K CD wanted to wipe everything, then it wanted to set up as a dual boot. Then out of the blue ... everything is happy, like nothing at all happened, and running better than it had been.

Go fig! Must be why I love computers

Since no one has posted benchs yet ... here's my results...

Compared to 3.7's (because they provide the best frame rates for me)

I lost 300 points in Aquamark3 graphics
I lost 200 points in 3dmark 02 SE

I use these 2 tests because they provide the best VC performance details / results.

The 3.10's give better performance than the 3.9's did (for me)

,,, but still not as good as the 3.7's ...

Seems like ever since they changed the the Cp in the 3.8's ... the FR's I had ... are lost ...

I hit over 400 fps in tests 1 and 3 using the 3.10's that the 3.7's couldnt produce

I ran a Prophet 8500 on Omega 3.9's
Will I (or if the sale goes thru, he) see an improvement with the 3.10's?
I didnt have any issues at all. Unreal,Quake, Links03, Medal of Honor ran fine. I just got Call of Duty, and Raven Shield. (I have a 5900 now )
So I could test the 8500 withn 3.9 to see if any problems crop up- -I know he has both of those also (WIN XP) He is a buddy, and I dont want to hear his whining about the card not working
