First my house was built in the 1800s before light bulbs were common in homes with that being said nothing is ever straight forward and or industry standard in this house.
Now onto my issue, I am moving my DSL again, I have a dry loop with NO LAN line. I found a cat1 wire red, green, yellow, black connected to the inside terminal which ran to a 4P4C connector that I dont need. So I disconnected at the terminal and ran cat6 with the connection on pair one. If I use a 4P4C connector I can get my DSL modem sync on a PINS 2&3 and for the life of me I cant get it to work on my Cat6 connections. So what pins does the 4P4C connector 2&3 equal to on a cat6 connection, I hope this makes sense.
Help plz!
