Hi,
I initially posted this on tech support, but now I think it might be more appropriate here.
I just started building a home network through a D-link DI604 router.
I had 1 75 foot cat5e cable that I tried using to connect one of the computers, but the router won't recognize a computer attached to that cable. I tried a shorter cat5e and that didn't work either. These were "pre made" cables. (I didn't put them together myself) and I've tried all ports on the router. All ports work fine with straight ahead cat5. All sources I've seen state that cat5e should be compatable with a 10/100 based ethernet.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.
